Artist's Description
This is a top front view of one of four mixed media paintings of the 1989 24 Hours of Daytona winning Porsche 962 driven by Derek Bell, Bob Wollek, and Maria Andretti. Major sponsors of this car were BF Goodrich and Miller High Life. The 27th annual running of this race was sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). The artist, Richard Parker, was also a professional road racer. He had SCCA Pro and IMSA licenses and raced in Formula Mazda in SCCA National races and the American LeMans Series races, the Formula Mazda North American Championship.
About Richard Parker

Richard Parker began drawing when he was three and the focus of his youth was on art, music, writing, the outdoors, and sports. He graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis and then from Wayne State University in Detroit ,Michigan, with a BFA Degree and a double major in Advertising Design and Psychology. Richard’s creative career in advertising and marketing in Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Princeton and Indianapolis is legendary. He started in business for one of the top art studios in the country. Richard then went on to become an art director, writer, creative director and entrepreneur serving an impressive list of local, national, and international clients throughout his career.
